How it works

A step-by-step spec process

The best quote starts with the right questions. Here’s what we typically need to confirm to manufacture a consistent, repeatable poly bag solution.

1) Dimensions & fit

Provide width × length (and depth if gusseted). If the product has sharp edges or irregular shape, share photos or tolerances so we can recommend an appropriate fit.

2) Material & performance needs

Let us know if you need clarity, stiffness, puncture resistance, or chemical resistance. We’ll recommend polyethylene options aligned to your application.

3) Thickness (gauge)

Thickness impacts durability and cost. Tell us how the bag is handled (manual vs automated, abrasion, weight) and we’ll help dial in the right gauge.

4) Bag style & configuration

Flat, gusseted, side-weld, bottom-seal, etc. Add closures, vent holes, perforations, or specialty features based on your workflow.

5) Printing & identification

Add logos, handling instructions, warnings, barcodes, or compliance marks. We’ll confirm print requirements and placement based on your packaging process.

6) Quantity, packaging, and timeline

Share estimated volumes, order cadence, and required delivery windows. If you’re switching suppliers, tell us what isn’t working today—we’ll address it in the spec.

Quick FAQ

Short answers to the most common questions we hear during bag specification.

What if I don’t know the exact thickness?
That’s common. Describe the product weight, handling conditions, and durability requirements. We’ll propose a gauge range and send options.
Can you help convert an existing bag to a better spec?
Yes. Share a sample or current dimensions/thickness. We’ll review for performance and cost opportunities while keeping the end use intact.
Do you support printed bags?
Yes. Printing is often the fastest way to improve clarity on the line—branding, warnings, and instructions that reduce mistakes and rework.
